FLORIDA  COLESLAW

            

INGREDIENTS

1/4 white cabbage

1 small carrot

1 small onion

1/4 red eating apple                                                

25g pasta shells

25g mandarin oranges or pineapple pieces

2 tablespoons salad cream

seasoning to taste

parsley (chopped) - garnish.

    

METHOD

 

  1. Half fill a large pan with cold water.  Bring to boil, and    boil pasta shells for 10-12 minutes.  Drain and allow to cool.

 

  1. Wash and shred cabbage, wash, peel and grate carrot.

 

  1. Peel and chop onion finely.

 

  1. Wash, core and slice apple.

 

  1. Mix together cabbage, carrot, onion    and apple in a bowl.

 

  1. Stir in mandarins / pineapples.

 

  1. Add salad cream and mix thoroughly. Add seasoning if required and mix well.

 

  1.  Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
