Apple Crumble

Ingredients

Crumble Mix 

100g plain flour

40g margarine

25g sugar

Base

2 cooking apples

50g sugar

Method

Weigh flour and sieve into a bowl. Collect margarine on a plate.

Cut margarine into small pieces and rub into flour until mixture looks like breadcrumbs.

Weigh the sugar and add to the crumble mix.

Wash apples then 1/2, 1/4, core and peel 1 apple.

Slice apple quarters thinly and place on base of pie dish.

Sprinkle ALL the sugar over apple.

Repeat method with second apple and layer slices over the apples and sugar in the pie dish.

Sprinkle crumble mixture EVENLY over the apples.

Bake for 25-30mins. until golden brown.
